Thank you for your interest in learning more about out the Sublette County Chamber of Commerce Committees! We meet once a month in slow season and multiple times a month as needed for upcoming comms, events, programs. Our meetings are held in person at Pinedale Town Hall (69 Pinedale East Road) or virtually via Zoom.

 

We value your strengths and hope that you can find one of the committees sounds like a place where you can provide insight and support, as well as have some fun!

 

Sublette County Chamber of Commerce:

Mission: To create and foster a sustainable, year-round, Sublette County business community. 

Vision:  Cultivating Leadership, Strengthening relationships, and championing local businesses as the trusted resource for community and business insights.

Communications Committee:

  • Purpose: 

    • Drives the Chamber’s public messaging, marketing, and brand awareness. Assists members and staff with web content, social media, press relations, advertisements and newsletters to boost member engagement, recruitment, and retention.

  • Core Responsibilities: 

    • Manage an annual calendar of Communications and Communications Budget

    • Brand Management: Ensures consistent messaging, visual branding, and voice across all platforms. 

    • Content Creation: Assists staff in drafting, editing, and publishing press releases, weekly or monthly email, newsletters, advertisements, social media and annual reports. 

    • Digital & Social Strategy: Expands the Chamber's reach by brainstorming campaigns, managing social platforms, and updating website content. 

    • Event Promotion: Works alongside event committees to create marketing materials, drive ticket sales, and increase post-event visibility.

    • Strategic Alignment: Ensuring the year's communications meet the Chamber's overarching goals.

    • Feedback and Evaluation: Reviewing the success of the past communications and making recommendations to the Board of Directors for the future.

    • Data collection and Reporting of data

Events Committee:

  • Purpose: 

    • Plans, coordinates, and executes the Chamber's networking gatherings and signature fundraisers. Manage logistics, secure sponsorships, and handle event marketing to ensure gatherings deliver strong ROI for the local business community.

  • Core Responsibilities:  

    • Manage an annual calendar of Events and Event Budgets

    • Signature Events & Galas: Planning annual awards banquets/galas, holiday kick-offs, or large community festivals.

    • Networking & Mixers: Organizing recurring events such as Chamber mixers and ribbon cuttings.

    • Logistics & Marketing: Securing venues, coordinating food and decor, booking speakers, liability paperwork and driving event attendance.

    • Sponsorships & Fundraising: Sourcing sponsors, door prizes, and auction items to ensure events remain profitable for the Chamber

    • Strategic Alignment: Ensuring the year's events meet the Chamber's overarching goals.

    • Feedback and Evaluation: Reviewing the success of past events and making recommendations to the Board of Directors for the future.

    • Data collection and Reporting of data

Finance Committee:

  • Purpose: Monitoring the Chamber's fiscal health, overseeing the annual budget, and ensuring financial transparency. Assists in long-term financial planning and provides critical recommendations to the Board of Directors. 

  • Core Responsibilities: 

    • Budget Development: Collaborates with executive staff to draft and manage the annual operating budget.

    • Financial Reporting: Reviews monthly/quarterly financial statements, yearend projections, and cash flow to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

    • Audit and Compliance: Oversees annual financial audits, reviews the IRS Form 990, and maintains strong internal financial controls.

    • Investment Strategy: Develops and evaluates investment or reserve policies to ensure the Chamber's long-term sustainability. 

 

Programs Committee:

  • Purpose: 

    • Manages the Chamber’s programs, workshops, and educational series. They collaborate with staff to identify relevant topics, recruit guest speakers, and plan networking opportunities that support local business growth and community development. 

  • Core Responsibilities: 

    • Manage an annual calendar of Programs and Program Budgets

    • Content Development: Surveying members to identify needs and sourcing industry experts, facilitators, or local leaders to speak at luncheons, seminars, and workshops. 

    • Program Planning: Helping organize logistical details, formats, and agendas for Pathways, Jumpstart, Lattes and Learning and workforce development

    • Strategic Alignment: Ensuring the year's programming meets the Chamber's overarching goals, such as workforce development, business retention, or leadership training. 

    • Feedback and Evaluation: Reviewing the success of past programs and making recommendations to the Board of Directors for the future.

    • Data collection and Reporting of data
